It’s going well so far for Liverpool in the new season.
They lost on penalties to last year’s Champions in the season opener Charity Shield. But then Liverpool went on to win the European Super Cup overcoming Chelsea and they remain top of the league after four games and going into the first break. Top defender Van Dijk was named UEFA men’s Player of the Year.
That doesn’t mean they couldn’t do better. Because they do still make unforced errors. And a better conversion rate would see them already well ahead in goal difference – something that could potentially decide the title come end of season.
Let’s hope the team will keep on improving. And perhaps take advantage of what appears to be a very managable Champions League group to advance with ease.
