Liverpool 3 – 2 Manchester City

So the highly anticipated game at Anfield ended in Liverpool’s favor.

Liverpool played breathtakingly well in the first half. And they scored 2 goals to make it look like a walk in the park.

It was anything but. City came back well in the second half scoring twice – the second an own goal, a reflection by Glen Johnson.

With some missed chances from both sides, it took a lovely goal from Coutinho in the second half to seal the win for Liverpool.

That takes Liverpool 7 points clear of Manchester City who do have 2 games in hand. Chelsea remain in second place, 2 points behind Liverpool.

So Liverpool can win the league if they get 3 points from each of their remaining 4 games. One of these games is at home to Chelsea but the rest of their ties are no less tricky.

What an exciting Premier League season this has been.
