The Race Problem

It is a known problem. It is a serious problem. It has been for a long long time. I could never understand how someone could think any less of another person just because they are of a different color skin. But that is how it is.

And it is a cycle. Enough people of having the same color skin react a certain way whenever they see people with a different color skin. And those in the latter group start expecting such reactions from the former group. And they themselves start becoming defensive and even acting in the same idiotic way around people whose color is another hue. And so it goes.

To make matters worse, people who have a certain color will be grouped into a “potential criminal” category just because of the color of their skin. The same set of actions that labels a certain group “compulsive criminals” is treated as an “exception” or a “mental disorder” in people of another color. Or a “terrorist” in another group. And so on and so forth. See the cycle.

And all this suspicion and hate and misunderstanding can go so far that some lose their lives. It has happened time and again. It is sad, but it will continue to happen until people grow up and stop such incredibly stupidity.

Here is what U.S. President Obama recently had to say about the race relations and the justice system.

And here is what I say: Live and let live. No one is the tiniest fraction less than you – or more than you – because they are different. Our difference should be embraced and appreciated. And never hated. Whatever information has been filled in your head by your parents or your teachers or society, think for yourself before you act so blindly and hatefully towards another person.

Try and do your part for a better society and humanity. And don’t make it worse by adding to it in any negative way. And remember, what you do is seen by others around you. Be it your friends, children, family, colleagues, etc. And they get some of their information from you.

Correct the wrongs you see with lasting positivity. Try to help yourself and those around you run away from hate and towards love.

Love and Peace.
